Health Monitoring System (ECG, BP, Pulse, Temp)
Project Title:
IoT-Based Health Monitoring System (ECG, BP, Pulse, Temperature)
Objective:
To build a real-time health monitoring system that uses IoT sensors to track vital signs like ECG, blood pressure, pulse rate, and body temperature, with remote access for patients and doctors.
Project Summary:
This project aims to design a smart health monitoring system that continuously tracks a patient's vital parameters using IoT-enabled sensors. The collected data is sent to a cloud server and displayed on a web or mobile dashboard, allowing healthcare providers and family members to monitor the patient remotely. In case of abnormal readings, the system can send instant alerts to doctors or caregivers.
Key Components:
Hardware: ECG sensor, BP sensor, Pulse sensor, Temperature sensor, Microcontroller (ESP32/Arduino), Wi-Fi/GSM module
Software: Cloud storage (ThingSpeak, Firebase), Health Dashboard (Web/App), Alert system (SMS/Email)
Technologies: IoT, Cloud Computing, Real-Time Monitoring, Data Visualization
Features:
Real-time monitoring of ECG, blood pressure, heart rate, and body temperature
Live data dashboard accessible by doctors and patients
Alerts for abnormal health readings
Patient history and health trend analysis
Secure and remote data access
Applications:
Remote patient monitoring (especially for elderly or chronic patients)
Telemedicine and virtual consultations
Hospital ICU or home-based care
Emergency health alert systems
Outcome:
This project demonstrates how IoT can improve healthcare by enabling continuous monitoring, early detection of health issues, and remote care. It’s a practical solution bridging technology and medical support—ideal for smart health systems.
